Conveniently located in the center of Khao Lak with all the infrastructure of restaurants, shops, and transportation - you can also find the Khao Lak Divers Shop. The popular Nang Thong and Sunset Beaches are just a short walk away.
Traveler's checks and cash in Euro, U.S. Dollar or Swedish Kroner can be exchanged without problems. Several banks operate branches in Khao Lak, Bank of Ayutthaya, Siam Commercial Bank and Kasikorn Bank. Typically short hours, but the exchanges stay open late - most days of the week.
You can find ATM's all over town, from the port in Taplamu up to the 7-Eleven shops. All ATM accept Visa/Mastercard, some of them will also accept the Maestro EC-card.
If you are planning to solely use your credit cards - please be careful. Very few shops accept cards - cash is still much more common here! It is recommended to at least have a back-up credit card handy.
